A Greenfield man has been interviewed about shots he admits he fired last Thursday morning in what police are calling a botched theft. The shooter’s name hasn’t been released and no one was hit. He says he had hired a prostitute a few days before the incident and she returned with an accomplice to steal money she’d seen in a drawer in his home. The gun owner says the first shot went off by accident and the second was fired in an attempt to stop their vehicle as they tried to get away. Greenfield police arrested three people.
