Funding for a troubled social service agency has been put on hold by the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County. The former head of UNISON was arrested last week. The United Way suspended payments starting last July after UNISON failed to file a financial audit. That money could still be paid when the audit is completed. Leaders on both sides say they will meet in the next two weeks. UNISON provides services to older adults and young families.
