The security has been ramped up for the Democratic candidate for Wisconsin governor. A threat against Tony Evers was posted on Facebook last weekend. The Barron County Sheriff’s Office interviewed a man about the online threat, but that man wasn’t arrested. Candidates for state office in Wisconsin usually don’t come under the State Patrol’s Dignitary Protection Unit. Evers and incumbent Governor Scott Walker are in a virtual tie five days away from the election, according to one major poll.
