The Green Bay Metro Fire Department was called to a home in the city Wednesday afternoon. A fire had started in a home on Chestnut Avenue at around 5:00 PM. The blaze, which started because a resident had left her stove unattended, quickly spread to the rest of the kitchen, including nearby walls and cabinets. Nobody was injured in the incident. A damage estimate has not yet been released.
