The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA had a successful 1st annual Sweat For a Cure. The event took place on Saturday, October 13 with proceeds from the event going toward finding a cure for breast cancer. A large collection of auction items and raffle baskets were set up in the Y lobby for anyone to bid on. Outside, a number of food trucks were set up in the parking lot for everyone to enjoy. Throughout the day guests participated in fitness classes as well as fun challenges such as Fitness bingo, hula hooping contests, and “burpees for boobies” . The event raised a total of $1,788 to go to breast cancer programs. $894 will go to LiveStrong program at the Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA and $894 will go to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora.
