The Federal Transit Association is sending 11-million dollars in grant money to Wisconsin to pay for four projects. The feds are trying to improve the safety and reliability of bus transportation, especially in rural areas. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will get almost half of the money. The rest goes to Janesville, Appleton and the Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin. New buses will be bought to replace aging, unsafe ones.
