Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested At Kenosha Motel

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department says it got a tip leading to a sexual assault suspect less than two days after the information was released to the public.  Sixty-one-year-old Stephen Smith is accused of cutting his G-P-S ankle monitor off to avoid authorities after he was named as a suspect.  He was arrested Wednesday at a motel near Interstate 94.  The teenage victim is from Illinois.  Smith has a criminal history dating back nearly 20 years.
