A Monroe County couple is accused of keeping five children and a disabled adult in cages. Travis and Amy Headrick made court appearances Monday afternoon. Each of them faces nine felony counts, including recklessly endangering safety, false imprisonment and neglecting a child. A person who had been in the home in Melvina went to authorities with pictures of the inside. One of the children told investigators of spending hours in the cages, even if they didn’t misbehave. The Headrick’s are scheduled to return to Monroe County District Court a week from Thursday.
