UW Manitowoc will soon be called UW Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus. The request for the name change was submitted by UW Green Bay Chancellor Gary Miller, and was approved by the UW Board of Regents. The name change comes only a few weeks after the two UW schools became connected in the systems ongoing statewide restructuring process. Miller commented on the change, saying “We believe this name change allows each community to maintain the tradition and history of their campus, while leveraging the international Green bay brand.” Universities in Marinette and Sheboygan will also undergo a similar name change.
