Marnie Ferry, the third man involved in the beating of a 57 year old man last year, had his prison sentence stayed yesterday in Manitowoc County Circuit Court. The 29 year old Chicago man, along with Christian and Christopher Calalang, were convicted of the assault, which took place on April 25th of last year. The victim told officers that the three men took him against his will in the Chicago area, before driving him to Manitowoc County, and beating him with a bat. He was left in a ditch by the men. Ferry was sentenced to 12 years in state prison but it was changed to six years probation. Both Christian and Christopher Calalang were sentenced to 12 months in county jail, and six years’ probation.
