Work is scheduled to start on Monday for a stretch of Highway 28 between Highway 57 and Prange Road in Sheboygan County. Governor Scott Walker approved $2.2 million to improve the stretch in an effort to create jobs, and make sure “Wisconsin is open for business.” Workers will be laying new asphalt, widening the shoulders, adding gravel to existing shoulder and several other items. The Highway 28/32 roundabout will be closed for around three weeks during the project, which is scheduled to be completed in mid to late September. Below is the full list of traffic impacts.
WIS 28 will remain open to traffic with single lane closures and flagging operations, except during the closure noted below.

The WIS 28 detour will use WIS 57, County V, and I-43.
