Fire damage at the Flying Eagle Express facility just outside Monroe is estimated at more than one-million dollars. The trucking company’s headquarters is said to be a total loss. The Friday fire burned for more than six hours. Firefighters had to deal with several explosions because the building contained tractor-trailer trucks and flammables. More than two dozen fire companies responded to the mutual aid call. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has been on the scene assessing cleanup needs caused by the fuel runoff during the fire.
