Two cases of operating while intoxicated are pending against a Madison woman after she was stopped twice in one night. Verona police pulled over 47-year-old Yangchen Sopa early Saturday for a defensive headlamp. She was arrested for operating while intoxicated, first offense. She was released and stopped a second time by the same police officer about four hours later. That led to a second O-W-I arrest. Sopa faces the charges in Verona Municipal Court. If she is convicted for the first charge there, the second will go to the Dane County District Attorney’s Office for a potential criminal prosecution for Sopa.
