A man trying to elude pursuing law enforcement officers drove a rental van at speeds exceeding 100 miles-an-hour even after he had been shot. Delafield police responded to a store Thursday afternoon on a shoplifting complaint against three suspects. A woman ran from the scene and still hasn’t been found, while two men left in the van. When stop sticks were deployed, officers were forced to avoid being hit by the van – and that’s when an officer fired a shot, hitting the driver. Both men in the van were arrested. The 46-year-old driver is being treated for a minor gunshot wound.
