While President Trump was in Mount Pleasant saying the massive Foxconn project there will be the eighth wonder of the world, protesters in Appleton had a different take. They are skeptical about the multi-billion-dollar deal, saying they don’t think it’s good for northeastern Wisconsin. Foxconn is getting four-billion dollars in incentives from the state. The people protesting in Appleton say everybody wants jobs, but they question how sustainable the positions will be. They say having to wait decades for the state to make the money back is unacceptable. State Representative Amanda Stuck says Wisconsin should be investing in local companies instead.
