Reedsburg police have arrested a man and woman who are accused of passing bad checks. Twenty-nine-year-old Katherine R. Heldt and 27-year-old Cody J. Stanbery were taken into custody Thursday after trying to use a fake check to buy items at a Reedsburg store. Heldt and Stanbery face more than 50 charges. They’re being held on tentative fraud charges and outstanding warrants in their names. Police say Stanbery is wanted in Juneau and Langlade counties and he is named in 66 cases for property crimes.
