Manitowoc City Hall will be buzzing this evening with two meetings scheduled to take place within the government building. First up is the Committee of the Whole, who will be occupying the Council Chambers at 5:00 PM. They only have a couple items on the agenda, starting with a discussion on options for an updated land rebate in the industrial park. That will be followed by a closed session to talk about a proposed sampling plan and future remedial efforts at the Newton gravel pit. The Planning Commission will then take over the council Chambers at 6:00 PM, with a continued discussion about the annual review of a conditional use permit for transitional housing at Hope House. Some new business for the Commission will see them have a discussion about the Downtown Parking Study.
