The Manitowoc Public School Board of Education has a new member. Superintendent Mark Holzman says Richard Nitsch was selected yesterday afternoon in a field of four candidates that included Meredith Sauer—Rebecca Abler & Ronald Masiak (MAH’-shek) to serve the remainder of Karen Rohrer’s term.
Holzman says the selection process was “quite unique”.
Nitsch will serve until April 2019 at which time he can choose to run for a full three-year term. In other business the District extended its’ transportation contract with Brandt Bus Company thru 2023, and there will be ‘no’ increase in lunch or breakfast costs for students this coming school year.
