Woman Arrested for Domestic Battery in Manitowoc

A 23 year old woman was arrested in Manitowoc after an altercation with her boyfriend early this morning. According to a report by the Manitowoc Police Department, authorities were called to a residence in the 900 block of South 35^th Street just before 1:00 AM, and were informed of a physical disturbance that had occurred at the residence. The neighbor is the one that made the call, but the residence was split in two by a wall. After speaking with the male victim, it was learned that his girlfriend, whom he had been living with for the past three months, had struck him multiple times, including punching him in the face. When police entered their bedroom, a glass smoking device commonly used for marijuana was discovered. Both parties denied that the device was theirs, and it was entered into evidence. After the neighbor corroborated the boyfriend’s story, the woman was taken into police custody and charged with Domestic Battery, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
