Paint Creek Bridge Demolition Underway

Demolition of the Paint Creek Bridge in the Chippewa County of Lafayette is underway.  The process of tearing down the bridge began Wednesday and should be completed by July 4th.  The cost to Chippewa County for removing the bridge is estimated at 65-thousand dollars.  The state has awarded money to construct a new bridge, with the county and township paying a small portion of that cost.
