The U.S. Supreme Court today is scheduled to ‘consider’ taking the case of convicted murderer Brendan Dassey of Manitowoc County, when justices gather for a closed-door meeting. Dassey confessed to joining his uncle, Steven Avery, in the brutal rape and murder of Theresa Halbach in October, 2005. His attorneys say the ‘then’-teenager was pressured into a false confession to the crime and they want it thrown out for their client to get a new trial. We should know as early as Monday if the Supreme Court WON’T hear the case. If they decide to hear it reports say arguments would take place in the Fall.
