Thief Chooses Wrong Woman As Theft Target

A would-be Madison thief apparently picked the wrong victim.  Authorities report the boyfriend of a woman targeted for theft chased down the bad guy, tackled him and held him for officers Sunday afternoon.  The woman suffered minor injuries during the incident.  The victim was getting her change from a business when 28-year-old Trever R. McKeown is accused of grabbing the money out of her hand and taking off.  The woman’s boyfriend sprang into action and was holding the suspect when police arrived.
