Brooks Koepka won his second straight U-S Open with a strong final round of 68 at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club. Koepka won last year at Erin Hills in Wisconsin and became the seventh golfer to take the national championship in back-to-back years. Madison’s Steve Stricker closed with an even-par 70 Sunday, finishing the tournament at 11-over par, good for a tie for 20th. Scores were high on the difficult course. The 70-shot performance Sunday allowed Stricker to sweep pass 13 other golfers in the standings. Stricker hosts the American Family Insurance Championship this week in Madison.
