The Sheboygan woman that was running a kennel where two freezers were found filled with dead dogs, was found guilty last week of 24 of the 36 misdemeanor charges she was facing. Christy Rose Tuchel will be sentenced at a later date, after being found guilty of causing mental harm to a child and being party to animal mistreatment. On top of the deceased dogs, there were 36 others that were found to be living in very bad condition, with an insufficient amount of food and water. A teen that was forced to care for the dogs testified that the mental trauma he suffered in having to care for the canines in that manner has left him emotionally scarred. His testimony was a key part of the prosecution’s case.
