A local senior living community is expanding.
Construction of the Commons at Felician Village has gotten underway at the campus on S. 21st Street.
The Commons will be a state-licensed Community-Based Residential Facility (CBRF) and will be developed through the transformation of the organization’s former Next Step Rehabilitation Unit.
The new building will also include a movie theatre, in-house laundry, and an art studio.
Officials with Felician Village say the Commons “reflects our commitment to transformation and our ongoing mission to continue the healing ministry of Jesus by providing compassionate care that respects the dignity of each person we serve.”
The project is scheduled to be finished by spring next year.
