Milwaukee police are investigating a pursuit-related crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old on the city’s south side.
Officers attempted to stop a reckless driver Sunday night near South Muskego Avenue, but the driver sped off and sparked a short police chase.
The fleeing vehicle broadsided another car less than a mile away at Layton Boulevard and Greenfield Avenue, killing the teenage driver at the scene.
Police arrested the 36-year-old suspect driver at the hospital after finding illegal narcotics in his vehicle.
The crash marks Milwaukee’s fourth police chase death this year
