Froedtert Hospital is permanently closing a parking structure on its Wauwatosa campus following a multi-vehicle fire in late September.
Hospital officials announced the garage on 92nd Street will be demolished early next year to clear space for a new patient tower.
The closure stems from a September 13th incident where a leaking gas line on a car ignited, causing a blaze that damaged nine vehicles.
Officials say the garage was already scheduled for removal as part of a larger campus upgrade, though it remains unclear if the fire accelerated the timeline.
