Traffic on Interstate 43 is being rerouted due to car crashes in Brown County.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation explains that both northbound lanes of I-43 are closed between U.S. Highway 141 and State Highway 96 near Denmark after two crashes that took place in the area within two hours.
Few details about either incident have been made available; however, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene, and an eyewitness tells SeehfaerNews.com that they witnessed a truck on fire while traffic was significantly backed up.
Northbound motorists are asked to exit I-43 at Highway 141/County Road MM, head south onto County Road R, turn west on De Pere Road/State Highway 96, and back on to 43.
