Madison police are pouring all available resources into investigating four separate homicides that occurred across the city in under a week.
The recent surge in violence includes a shooting at Merchant Madison, a suspicious death on Raymond Road, and two separate weekend homicides on Calypso Road and Regent Street.
Police arrested two men in their early 20s for possession of a machine gun following the targeted Calypso Road shooting, but investigators stress none of the four cases appear connected.
Department officials urge anyone with information to contact authorities.
