The Fox Crossing Police Department along with several other agencies, responded to a report of a man wielding a knife on the Trestle Trail in Fritse Park. According to a Department of Justice statement, “Law enforcement received calls from numerous people that a male subject was acting erratically with a knife and approaching members of the public in Fritse Park. Law enforcement arrived on scene and located the individual and over the course of the incident, one Fox Crossing police officer fired their weapon and struck the man.” He died at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing, and the officer involved was placed on administrative leave, in accordance to department policy.
