A Manitowoc man had the experience of a lifetime as the Green Bay Packers hosted the Carolina Panthers.
Keith Bonde was selected as a part of the “That Deserves a Crown” promotion, which is designed to celebrate “outstanding fans who have made a positive impact in their community.”
As a part of his selection, Keith and his significant other Tina were brought down to the field and showcased on the jumbotron during the pregame warmups.
While Keith was honored to be selected, for him, it’s not about the accolades.
“I’ve been around a lot of good people,” he explained. “Being involved in the community, it’s to help promote positiveness.”
And that aura of positivity was shared by the people behind the scenes who made sure Kieth helped around the stadium with a wheelchair and made it to the field safely.
“You feel honored because the tradition of Lambeau Field,” he recalled. “The two girls that I met with had said, ‘We love to see people come here and be honored because of what they’ve done over the years.’”
Bonde was also quick to thank everyone in his life who helped him achieve all he has over the years.
He said, “I thank a lot of people that have been very good mentors to me and all the organizations that I’ve been involved with and, just be in positive.”
Keith, who is an avid baseball fan, told us he was also honored to watch as the history-making Milwaukee Brewers walked out of the tunnel.
