A local senior-focused service club in Manitowoc has made a donation to help the food insecurity crisis.
The Manitowoc Golden K Kiwanis Club was able to donate $500 to each of the four food pantries in Manitowoc after its members raised $2,000 to help alleviate food insecurity for local children and their families.
President Gary Prigge presented the checks to Sally Peck of Grow It Forward, Tracy Minehan of Peter’s Pantry, and Samantha Tamayo of the Salvation Army.
No representative from St. Vincent de Paul was at the check presentation, but they are also receiving a donation.
