Diane Marie Sleger, age 83, of Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on October 21, 2026, at Harbor View Assisted Living facility, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease spanning more than two decades.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Marshall Street (2109 Marshall Street) in Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Nicholas Stellpflug. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday, October 31, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 11:30 a.m.
Survivors include her husband David of Manitowoc, a daughter Dawn (Steve) of Penn Valley, CA, and four sons: Dale (Wendy) of Greenville, Dan (Nancy) of Chippewa Falls, Darin of Green Bay, and Dean of Manitowoc. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and her sister, Pat Schack of Manitowoc. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Helen (Zeman) and Louis Sleger, her brother Richard Witczak, sister-in-laws Sonja Witczak and Louise Sleger, and her sister’s partner John Jones.

The family would like to thank the staff at Harbor View Assisted Living in Manitowoc for their kindness and care since April 2023, as well as the staff from Sharon S. Richardson Hospice who went above and beyond for Diane since June 2026.
