Manitowoc County’s Compost sites will be changing their hours next month.
Starting on November 16th, the Basswood Road site will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to noon.
The Woodland Drive compost site will then close on the 16th.
Starting next Monday, the Manitowoc County Recycling Center’s Main Office will close on Saturdays and won’t reopen on Saturdays until next April.
Operations Manager Jon Reisenbuechler reminds residents that items like brush, branches, grass, woodchips, and flowers are accepted at the compost sites, but items like treated and untreated lumber, kitchen waste, or construction waste are not accepted.
