A Manitowoc man has been charged after making threats toward a member of law enforcement and their spouse.
44-year-old Bradley Barfoot was given a $2,000 cash bail yesterday (October 27th) by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch on charges of Battery or Threats to a Law Enforcement Officer and Possession of THC.
These charges arose after police were called to Westfield Bar on a potential probation violation.
Upon arrival, officers located Barfoot, who admitted he was previously ordered by the court to maintain absolute sobriety and was not permitted to enter a bar or tavern.
He was subsequently arrested and taken into custody. While in custody, the 44-year-old began making vague threats towards the officers, stating, “You’re going to regret this.”
The threats then became more severe and targeted as he stated he would “f— up” the wife of an officer upon his release before also saying he would “f— up” the officer as well.
Barfoot will now return to court on Monday (November 2nd) to make his initial appearance.
