A highway running through Manitowoc County is closed due to a car crash.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation explains that Highway 151 is closed between County Road S and County Road J east of Valders after the accident, which occurred just before 2:00 p.m.
However, at this time the severity of the crash remains unknown.
A detour has been put in place, taking westbound 151 motorists north on County Road S, east on Highway 10, south on County Road J, and back onto 151, while eastbound drivers are asked to take the same route in reverse.
The closure is expected to last approximately two hours while crews perform cleanup operations, but that number remains an estimate.
