A Janesville man faces felony charges after deputies arrested him for his sixth drunk driving offense early Saturday morning.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over 56-year-old Dennis Ellis in the Town of Turtle shortly after midnight.
Investigators say Ellis displayed clear signs of impairment during the traffic stop, leading to his arrest for operating while intoxicated.
Because of his five previous OWI convictions, the new charge counts as a felony under state law, and Ellis remains held in the Rock County Jail while waiting for his court appearance.
