An upcoming webinar will help Wisconsin farmers navigate uncertain incomes.
The UW-Madison, Division of Extension Dairy & Farm Management Team will host a Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC), Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) & Price Loss Coverage (PLC) webinar on November 4th at 1:00 p.m.
These programs help dairy and crop producers manage risks like low milk prices and high feed costs, ensuring more predictable and stable income.
The event will feature two speakers: Leonard Polzin, a Dairy Markets and Policy Outreach Specialist, and Dr. Paul Mitchell, a State Specialist for Cropping Systems Economics.
There will be no fee to participate in the webinar, and those who are interested can register to do so by visiting go.wisc.edu/27dmcarc.
Meanwhile, any questions from local farmers can be directed to Manitowoc County Ag Educator Angie Ulness by calling 920-683-4511 or at angie.ulness@wisc.edu.
