The Wisconsin Maritime Museum will welcome members to see the story of a historic submarine dry-docking operation from last year.
The one-time premiere of Shine She Must takes place at the Capitol Civic Center at 7:00 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session.
The maritime museum explains that on September 7th last year, the USS Cobia departed for Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, where she underwent a comprehensive inspection and critical preservation work to ensure her future.
The movie will take attendees on the journey of preserving one of America’s WWII submarines and honoring the veterans, shipbuilders, and communities whose sacrifices made the journey possible.
Those still interested in seeing the movie can purchase tickets for $10 at cccshows.org.
The movie will be about an hour and a half and will contain mild content that may not be suitable for all ages.
Money raised will go back to preserving Cobia and future drydocks.
