A Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) Faculty member has been commended for her work with students.
The district has announced that Amee Dulmes, SASD’s McKinney-Vento Liaison, has been recognized as a Bay-Lakes Council Frontline Hero.
As the district’s McKinney-Vento Liaison, Dulmes advocates for students and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability and helps remove barriers that can get in the way of education.
On the work she does, SASD explained, “From connecting families with transportation, food, clothing, and school supplies to helping students navigate college applications, financial aid, and future career opportunities, Amee works to ensure students have the resources and support they need to succeed.”
The Bay-Lakes Council of Scouting America recognizes Frontline Heroes in the education, healthcare, emergency response, and public safety fields.
