A Manitowoc County community will get a share of $11.5 million from a Wisconsin grant program.
The City of Two Rivers is receiving $50,000 from the Energy Innovation Grant Program (EIGP) to reduce energy usage, expand clean energy technology, and bolster comprehensive energy planning statewide.
Wisconsin Public Service Commission Chair Summer Strand calls the EIGP a fantastic program that enhances sustainability and lowers energy costs.
What the City of Two Rivers will do exactly with the funding isn’t known, but their Parks and Recreation Department appears to have applied for the grant.
Since the EIGP began in 2017, it has been awarded $51.1 million to 205 projects statewide.
