The City of Manitowoc is taking more time to decide what happens to the Madison Elementary School property.
On Monday, the Manitowoc Committee of the Whole went into a closed session to discuss two redevelopment proposals for the school and Lakeview Park.
The committee came out of closed session and did not take any action.
Council President Eric Sitkiewitz tells Seehafernews.com that the city is taking more time before deciding on what the property will become.
The City of Manitowoc purchased the property from the Manitowoc Public School District for $1 earlier this year after the school district decommissioned the school through a consolidation plan.
The city heard two presentations last month from Mike Howe Builders and Americon Construction on what they would do with the properties if the city gave them a contract for construction.
