A Local nonprofit is continuing its programming in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County will hold a Domestic Violence Awareness Month Journal Creation Workshop today (October 20th) at the Mead Public Library from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This event will feature Karen Robinson from Two Fish Gallery, helping those in attendance create their own personal journals that reflect their story and creativity.
Then, on October 27th, Safe Harbor will host A Journey Within Journaling Workshop, also at the Mead Public Library.
As October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, 26th District Assemblyman Joe Sheehan made a stop at Safe Harbor last week to tour their facility and learn more about their programming.
On his visit, Rep. Sheehan said, “During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, it is important to acknowledge the great work many organizations across our state are doing to prevent and help victims of domestic abuse. I am grateful to Safe Harbor in Sheboygan for being one of those organizations.”
More information on the workshops is available on the Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County Facebook page.
