A Plymouth woman has been convicted of stealing thousands of dollars from a local 4-H group.
51-year-old Stacy Limberg was in front of Judge Natasha Torry yesterday (October 19th) for a plea and sentencing hearing as she faced a single felony count of Theft in a Business Setting Between $10,000 and $100,000.
While previously she pled not guilty, yesterday she changed that plea to no contest and was found guilty of the lone charge she faced.
Upon conviction, Limberg was ordered to spend 60 days in the Sheboygan County Jail under the Huber Law, pay restitution to the Sheboygan County Junior 4-H Dairy Project, and spend five years on probation.
While serving as the Junior 4-H Dairy Project treasurer, Limberg stole just under $30,000 from the organization via fraudulent checks that she made out to her family members and non-4-H-affiliated groups.
She would then cash them herself to pay for things such as farm costs, machinery repairs, and medical bills.
