Governor Tony Evers is formalizing a new international partnership to boost economic and educational ties between Wisconsin and France.
Evers signed a sister-state agreement yesterday with officials from France’s Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region during a ceremony at the State Capitol.
The deal marks Wisconsin’s seventh sister-state connection and its first new agreement of its kind in 36 years.
State leaders say the partnership will focus on expanding joint ventures in agriculture, dairy, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing.
