A former Greenfield High School track and field coach has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting a student.
A Milwaukee County judge sentenced 24-year-old Bennet Schmitz to one year behind bars, followed by six years of extended supervision.
Schmitz pleaded guilty in July to sexual assault of a student by school staff and child enticement.
He admitted to having sexual contact with the student in 2024.
Schmitz is also required to register as a sex offender for life.
