One of the two suspects in a Sheboygan murder case is set to return to court.
20-year-old Onterio Girley will be in front of Judge Natasha Torry today (October 19th) for a status conference as he faces one count of Felony Murder-Armed Robbery in relation to the fatal shooting that took the life of Sheboygan teenager Joseph Torres earlier this year.
This will be Girley’s first appearance since August and the first since he and his legal counsel withdrew their demand for a speedy trial.
A move that caused his previous four-day jury trial to be pushed back into December.
Girley and 19-year-old Lawrence Buford have been charged in the deadly shooting which also left an unnamed 18-year-old Sheboygan woman severely injured as well.
At this time, Buford is without a lawyer after he asked his attorney to withdraw from the case.
As for Girley, following today’s hearing, he will return to court on December 1st before his jury trial, which begins on December 15th.
