Leonetta M. Silver, age 95, of Manitowoc passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at St. Mary’s Home.
Leonetta was born on September 25, 1931 in the Town of Cato, daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Yohanek) Reitmeyer. She attended schools in Valders and graduated with the class of 1950 from Valders High School. On November 24, 1956, Leonetta married Arnold “Mitch” Silver at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She was employed at First National Bank, as a clerk, for 15 years until her retirement. Leonetta was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and enjoyed reading, traveling, knitting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband: Arnold “Mitch” Silver; two daughters: Mary (Thomas) Myers, FL, Ann (Brad) Pausha, Chicago; three grandchildren: Lauren (Dr. Geoffrey) Trenkle, CA, Ian Patzke, CA, Joshua Pausha and significant other Maxi Granja, Chicago; three great -grandchildren: Hudson John, Parker Rose, and Kaiser Lucas; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Leonetta was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Emma Reitmeyer; eight siblings: Elanor (Clarence) Sittman, Olive (John) Grall, Joseph (Mayme) Reitmeyer, Marion (Raymond) Jagemann, George (Betty) Reitmeyer, Carl (Ruth) Reitmeyer, Daisy (Kenneth) Brennan; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Louis (Florence) Silver; son-in-law: John Patzke; two brothers-in-law: Robert (Ruth) Silver, Joseph (Maury) Silver; nieces and nephews also precede her in death.
A memorial mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Parish Grand Site, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Rev. Arogya Prashanth Gade will celebrate the Mass of Christian burial. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
