The Wisconsin DNR is providing funding to help create more electronic recycling events.
The DNR awarded $250,000 in E-Cycle Wisconsin Electronics Collection Grants to 39 projects in 35 counties that will host electronics recycling events between this month and December 2027.
B3 Recycling in Green Bay will use the funding to host collection events in Manitowoc, Calumet, and Kewaunee Counties. Funding will also go to Sturgeon Bay Utilities for a Door County collection event.
The DNR prioritizes projects in counties without permanent collection sites. As of 2025, households and schools had already recycled 440 million pounds of electronics through E-Cycle Wisconsin.
Since 2022, the DNR has awarded more than $830,000 to projects in 59 counties located in mostly rural areas.
