An annual chili fundraiser gets underway today at the Manitowoc Senior Center.
The event kicks off at noon and runs until 2:30 p.m., with cups of chili, hot dogs, and chili dogs available for attendees.
Attendees can dine in at the Senior Center on Custer Street or take their chili to go.
Phil Ordiway will provide live music from noon until 1:30 p.m., while the center’s gift shop offers a variety of handmade craft items and gifts for purchase.
The gift shop will accept only cash or checks, not debit or credit cards. Funds raised during the Manitowoc Senior Center’s Chili Fundraiser will help support activities and programs at the center.
The city-owned center’s mission is to promote active, healthy, productive, and independent lifestyles for individuals 50 years of age and older, and it offers a variety of educational, recreational, social, wellness, and volunteer opportunities.
